Man in white car with "URGENT DELIVERY" sign. Headline: Caringbah Chemist Caught—Scripts from Miranda Pharmacy. Urban background.

After an extensive investigation following yesterday’s exposé article, The Sutherland Shire Gazette can now reveal the truth behind the painfully slow prescription processing times at the Caringbah discount chemist.

Turns out, they’re not slow. They’re just outsourcing.

Following tip-offs from our sharp-eyed readers who noticed pharmacy staff frequently disappearing into a back room for suspiciously long periods, our journalists have uncovered that all scripts lodged at Caringbah are actually being filled at the Miranda store - and then discreetly transported back via a highly sophisticated courier system, otherwise known as ‘Dave in his Corolla’.

“We should’ve known,” said one longtime customer, who has been waiting for their asthma inhaler since 2021. “I started to get suspicious when I saw my script being attached to a carrier pigeon last month.”

Staff at the Caringbah chemist have denied the allegations but could not provide a clear explanation for why their pharmacist is regularly seen sprinting out the back door clutching a Woollies bag full of blister packs.

Miranda staff, meanwhile, were far less secretive about the arrangement. “Yeah, of course we fill their scripts,” said one pharmacist, stuffing a tray of prescriptions into an OzSale shopping bag. “Why do you think we’re so fast? We’ve got Caringbah’s stock too.”

With this revelation, customers are now demanding answers: Why is Caringbah even open? Is this the pharmacy equivalent of a ghost kitchen? And more importantly—if scripts are coming from Miranda anyway, can we just go there and skip the wait?

BREAKING: Caringbah Chemist Finally Caught—Scripts Are Actually Coming from Miranda

For now, The Gazette will continue to investigate. But in the meantime, if you’ve got a script at Caringbah and need it urgently, we’d suggest heading to Miranda and looking for Dave’s Corolla.
