MIRANDA — Friends, neighbours, and near strangers are growing increasingly wary of local mum-of-three, Gemma Byson, 39, who insists she’s “not doing one of those pyramid things” — despite routinely posting about #abundance and casually sliding into DMs with life-changing “collabs”.
While she maintains she's “just really passionate about helping other women feel empowered”, sources confirm that Gemma has now tried to sell kombucha starter kits, collagen sachets, esential oils, magnetic ankle bands and something described only as a “gut reset tonic” to at least 47 people this month.
“She says it’s not MLM,” said neighbour Denise, “but I bought one of her gut packs and now I’m in a WhatsApp group called ‘Freedom Babes Inner Circle’ and I’m not allowed to leave.”
Gemma, who refers to herself as a “brand ambassador, intuitive leader and mindset coach”, claims she’s “just vibing higher” and loves “connecting women with purpose-driven wellness.”
Her husband reportedly refers to it as “Gemma’s little hobby”, and is unaware he is technically now an Area Director with three downlines.
The Sutherland Shire Gazette reached out for comment. Gemma responded with a voice note about “alignment”, a PDF price list, and a personal affiliate link.
When asked what her actual job title is, Gemma replied, “I don’t have one. I just build community.”
